Later in 2023 all Australians will have a once in a generation chance to come together with First Nations Peoples to deliver a brighter future for our nation.

The Youth Council has chosen to spend time understanding what the Uluru Statement from the Heart is, the invitation of the
Uluru Statement from the Heart, why recognising First Nations as the original inhabitants of this country matters, what a First Nations Voice is, the reasons for enshrining a First Nations Voice in the Constitution and what the referendum process involves. Diann Rodgers-Healey has been facilitating these sessions.

Working with Indigenous leaders and the Uluru Youth Network Co-Chair, Bridget Cama, the Youth Council aims to assist other youth understand the purpose of the Referendum, where the Voice has come from and what it means for the government, parliament and all Australians.
